Description
As the United States and other countries experience a “Great Resignation,” the importance of competitive labor markets continues to gain traction in policy and regulatory circles.
However, the role that antitrust law plays in labor market regulation remains an open question, and the panel discussion will focus on the areas of labor policy where antitrust law should and does play a role.
Agencies, including the Federal Trade Commission, the Department of Justice, and the Department of Labor, are issuing rules and guidelines and initiating enforcement actions, more than ever, to level the playing field for workers in the United States.
The panel will look at how jurisdictions worldwide are approaching the intersection of labor markets and antitrust policy and discuss the theoretical foundations for these newfound developments.
