William R. Klaus practiced commercial and corporation law at Pepper Hamilton from 1951 to 1994. He was an early and strong advocate of publicly funded legal services for the indigent. He served as chair of Community Legal Services, Inc. of Philadelphia from 1966 to 1985 and as chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association in 1974. He has been named an honorary fellow of Penn Law School.
