Rhonda Copelon was a pioneer in applying international human rights law to women's rights. She was a founding faculty member of the law school at City University of New York, where she co-founded the International Women's Human Rights Clinic. In 1987 she was named an honorary fellow of Penn Law School. She died in 2010.
